Alton Towers is an amusement park in Staffordshire, England that has been around since April 1980.

This attraction takes riders up to speeds of 80mph (130km/h) as they hurtle down a twisting track. It’s one of the world’s fastest roller coasters with a drop of more than 300ft (91m).

Whizzer – An exhilarating family coaster with twists and turns.

The ride starts off slowly enough so that children can enjoy it without being scared. However, once the train reaches its peak speed of 70 mph (113 km/h), the ride becomes much faster and more intense.

This ride has been voted as one of the scariest rides in the UK. It was designed by John Wardley and opened in 1991. It is located at Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire, England.

Oblivion – A high-speed thrill ride which takes you over 200ft into the air.

The ride starts with a slow descent down a hill, before picking up speed and taking you through an enclosed tunnel. You then enter a large chamber where you will feel the force of gravity pulling you towards the ground. As you reach the bottom of the ride, you will see the Oblivion sign above you.

Dragon Challenge – This is one of the most popular rides at Alton Towers.

The Dragon Challenge is a rollercoaster designed by Bolliger & Mabillard. It has four cars, each holding two people. Each car goes round twice, giving a total of eight loops. The ride lasts approximately three minutes.
